This makes a mother's heart beat with pride. My five year old daughter
was recently given the chance to pick out some cloth in order to have mom
make a dress for her new rag doll. She spend at least an hour carefully
looking at all the fabric, looking for just the correct green cloth in
order to make her doll's dress, carefully holding her doll to the green
cloth each time she saw some in order to find just the right shade &
pattern of green for her doll.
I can just see her in another 5 years, saying things like, "No Mom, that
shade is not quite the ~true~ orange red that is in the trim here, I
believe that this shade of Orange Red is better." Mom, seeing the
difference will agree, and dad will say things like "What, we already have
red, isn't this red the same as that red?" Two women vs. one man. who do
you think will win.
