[Mid] Chatelaine Stuff

Merry Greetings,

Just a couple of things to post, then I'll go back into lurk mode.

First, I have an electronic copy (Word format) of the blank MK
Chatelaine report (the one due this month), if anyone is interested in a
copy. I will e-mail it to anyone who requests it. I'm working on
adding it to my web site.

Second, there's a report flying around our Barony that a newcomer
recently posted to an SCA list, requesting information on groups local
to his or her home. One of our local seneschals replied, as did some
other well-meaning gentle. The other gentle not only gave group info,
but also their opinion of the groups. The newcomer was a bit
disheartened by the other reply and gave our seneschal the impression
that the opinions sounded negative or gossipy in nature.

I would like to gently ask that when giving information to newcomers,
that everyone _especially_ read and re-read their e-mails to consider
that nothing appears negative. I don't believe the gentle's reply was
meant to be gossipy, but even some of the mildest critiques may sound
negative to a newcomer.
