Rosamund the Fund-raising Wonderpest here -- again <grin>.

This is a reminder that the next royal travel fund auction will take
place this Sat. (12/11) at Boar's Head in the fair Barony of Caer
Anterth Mawr.

Yes -- I'm still taking any and every (well, almost) donation of items
or services. If you have something, bring it, send it with a friend,
mail it to me (ASAP since I leave Fri. morning), whatever.

Remember, too, that this auction can serve TWO purposes at one time!
You can do your CHRISTMAS SHOPPING at the same time you are helping
SUPPORT the Crown. May you all be filled with an industrial-strength dose of
GENEROUS holiday spirit!! (And your purses filled with holiday gift-shopping
funds! 'Tis the season to spend money, especially in Good Causes (tm). <grin>)

Here's what has already been donated:
* two polearms;
* an assortment of Thai and Indian sari silks;
* a sterling silver pendant in the form of a replica Roman coin (it's a
        heavy whopper, too, and is on a SS chain);
* a bundle of Celtic artwork books;
* a kit to work a replica segment of the Bayeaux Tapestry (nice,
        imported kit);
* a blackwork embroidery starter kit with real black silk, little
        sachet bags and the Complete Anachronist on blackwork;
* a gold-plated, sterling silver late-period pendant set with garnets
        and pearls;
* a basket filled with homebaked cookies;
* wooden carved chest with mulling spices;
* a 13th-cent. Italian-style underglazed earthenware pitcher;
* a Toscano box with a crouching gargoyle on the lid;
* a middle-class 16C overdress in green corduroy (unfinished hem);
* period glassware

I now return you to your regularly scheduled day....

In service,
Rosamund Beauvisage
