[Mid] What are you doing Jan. 29th?

Regular Event! Regular Event! Regular Event!

Can't plug this enough! I'm so excited! I've never been "official staff"
before. I'm organizing the games, which will all be fitted around our
theme of Courtly Love. I want to have "quests" honoring the various aspects
of Courtly Love, and a prize to the gentle who best completes these quests.
 And, the coup de gras, a mock court of love where historical questions of
courtliness will be answered, lovers disputes appeased, and the winner of
the questing competition presented.

I'm also thinking of a "lovers" game tourney, where contestants can play
any manner of medieval games, the prize going to whoevers -consort- wins
the most games. (Ah, l'amour! I'm hoping to see couples both trying to
lose to each other... Now if only I can get my garb ready for the event,
too...)

Please come! Bring a friend! I know the head cooks and I guarentee the
feast will not be one to miss.

Some new details: There will be classes on dancing, a class on the history
of women fighting in period, there will be dancing for children, and a
courtly manners class for the kids (the teach hasn't decided if she has
enough energy to teach the grown-ups too.)

Master Aiden is organizing some sort of Arts and Sciences competition, but
has been tight-lipped on the subject. His competitions are always light
hearted and enjoyable. At last year's event we did ink wash painting, with
a lovely Chinese brush set as the prize. That was for Marco Polo, who
knows what he'll do for love... (that didn't come out right...)

That's all for now. I'm just really, really excited about this event.
