Heavens, yes. My son is one - he knows the emotional state of virtually
everyone in a room immediately upon walking into it. My daughter, on the
other hand, would be hard pressed to tell you *whether* there's anyone else
in a given room after walking in, sitting down, and looking around <g>.

It's a bit scary having this kind of emotional openness, but it does seem
to make for very sweet people - at least the ones that survive!

It's also scary how different two very similar-looking children can
be...<smile>
