I think that when people hear you say you are empathic they immediately
think of Deanna Troi from Star Trek: The Next Generation.
And yes, it is weird to be empathic. I work at a daily newspaper, which
means there are daily deadlines and many stressed out people.
Unfortunately, I'm finding, some of them are taking their stress seriously
and/or don't know how to release it, and those are the people I'm siphoning
from, which is frightening to me because I really don't know how to turn it
off. I feel for them, so they get o'er my walls.
