Where did you learn these things? Part of the game is giving people a
chance to explore the same sources you did.

How are these writs secured? Do they work basically like checks, or is
there some other system?

What did people use to buy the coins--obviously not coins?

}1016:

}Frequently, travellers are not welcome. Strangers are always eyed with
}suspicion. Warriors and official messengers have arrangements with other
}wealthy individuals and usually lodge in the feast halls. Hospitality, in
}these cases, is expected.

How does this mesh with Elli's account, which says that travellers are
generally welcome? (This is a question for you and Elli both, as well as
anyone else who knows something about Old Norse culture).

}1530: There are "fairs" at least three times a week. Hundreds, if not
}thousands, of animals are traded here. All manner of horses may be found.

You're saying that there are hundreds of animals, some of which are horses,
right?

}Those that are in top condition command the highest prices. Horses
}especially trained for battle cost the most and can many
}times exceed a man's entire income for a year.

How much is that?
