Greetings, Austrechild, and Others on the Bridge,
I agree that the West's policy is irrational and upsetting. How fortunate we
all are that our wonderful scribes donate so much of their talent to the
good of the populace.
I would hate to see any award recipient have to pay for their own scroll. I
can imagine the Crown does not want to pay for them either. As long as our
scribes continue to do such work voluntarily, we all benefit.
However, if a member of the populace wishes to have C&I work done for some
other purpose, and this good gentle has NO scribal talent, what to do? I
would always hope that ANYONE could approach ANY scribe and negotiate for
such work to be done. Such private business does not affect the Crown.
In Service to the Dream,
Beate Weitmeyer
