The Lincoln Herald (Midlands Regional) has stepped down from the office. I
accepted Lord Dafydd’s resignation and would like to thank him for his work
as Lincoln Herald. I have asked Lord Alexander de Seton to step in as
Interim Lincoln Herald. I am looking for someone to take over the duties of
the office in early March, and to that end am soliciting applications. The
duties include collecting the quarterly reports from the local heralds to
produce one report that goes to Dragon each quarter (communicating to Dragon
Herald more often as needed), being a resource for the local heralds to ask
questions of, and maintaining a list of current heralds in the region.
These duties are the bare minimum, thus having a basic knowledge of
heraldry, being able to attend events in the region and being able to be
contacted (having an answering machine to take messages if you’re not
available) are necessities. Having e-mail is not a necessity, although it
does make life easier. If you are interested, please send me (either by
regular mail or electronic mail) a letter of application which includes your
experiences and what your plans for the office by February 29. I know that
is not a lot of time, but I did promise Alexander that it would be a short
term position.
I am posting this to the Middle Bridge and the MK Heralds mailing lists. It
will also be in the February Pale. Feel free to pass this along to those
who might be interested.
