Because there are those of us who were brought up to believe
that women are our equals in everything but basic biology,
and we find it hard to believe that there are some who
don't treat women as equals - just as those men
find it hard to believe that we believe as we do.
It's not so much that I don't respect their beliefs,
as it's a set of beliefs I do not subscribe to.
It's sort of similar to "You mean, there are still some
people who actually vote for that guy?" You wouldn't
have, but you can still respect their beliefs. Sort of.
