But I think in simply changing your focus you might do so much good. It is
good to speak out at injustice. And anger sometimes needs a release However,
if you were to generalize, you might help so many more people, and many
would see it not as some kind of personal thing between two people, but a
much larger issue.
I have seen many people in abusive relationships over the years. In almost
every case, the abused person feels alone because the abuser has in some way
cut him or her off from friends or support system.
That's where I think the SCA as a whole can really pursue the ideals many of
us espouse, by reaching out to those of our friends in need. And I know so
many people who have helped their own healing along by seeking out those who
are now where they once were--if only to listen, to show victims that yes,
someone understands.
