Happy New Year!

Here's an update on Youth Combat at Kingdom 12th Night on January 5th in
Madison Heights, MI:

Who, What, Where and When

During the morning (from 10am to 12noon), Youth Combat will be in one of the
Youth Activities
classrooms, either Room 131 or 133. We'll run practice bouts and
authorizations during this time.

(There will be a Royal Court on stage from 11am to noon-
any help in breaking down Court and setting up list fields would be greatly
appreciated!)

>From 12:30-4:00pm Youth Combat (Rapier and Boffer) will be on the Stage.
We will have 2 list fields, shared among the age groups/divisions (6-9,
10-13, 14-15 and Rapier).

We don't plan on offering Youth Armored Combat for the 16-18 division as we
don't have
enough warranted marshalls in our Barony, and we are not allowed to do heavy
weapons on the Stage.

If there are enough combatants, we'll run a formal tournament; if not, we'll
run an informal one.
Our hope is to give the youths who do show plenty of chances to fight.

(At 4:00pm, we'll have to break down the list fields to set up for Royal
Court.
Again, any help would be most welcome!)

Rapier

We will be able to give space to Youth Rapier, if marshalls and youth rapier
combatants are still interested?
(Please email me privately.)

We GREATLY APPRECIATE the help we're getting from fellow youth marshalls
with loaner gear, time spent marshalling or helping in any way! Thanks very
much!

Non-marshalls (& kids & parents!) can help with the sign-ins, waivers, lists
and other forms,
as well as helping combatants put on and remove armor (especially helmets).

Water will be available throughout the day.
