[Mid] That evil LotR

Back when D&D was first being attacked as a prelude to out-and-out
Satanism, some of us SCA types found at one of our meeting sites (OK it
was a pub) a little cartoon-strip pamphlet associating D&D, Satanism,
J.R.R. Tolkien and C.S. Lewis. I though this was funny and ironic
until I realized that the promoters of the pamphlet probably thought the
Pope was an emissary of Satan, too, and so the whole thing was
consistent.
