Yeah, I know. I didn't like Dune (written), either and I actually fell
asleep during the film. All I remember was the sandworms....then the end
credits. I realise the film stunk.

Also, because I have very little true free time, I'm very, very
discerning on what I choose to go and see. And if I want to finish my
gown for 12th Night (and begin designing another Elizabethan without a
deadline, but it needs to be approved and begun before winter is over and
begin work on another costume with a deadline, complete with hunting down
the lining fabric and a particular colour of silk before even cutting
anything. Did I mention I have rehersals beginning at the end of this
month?) I don't have nearly 3 hours (plus travel time) to blow on a film
based on a book that I didn't like, no matter how visually stunning it
is. This is, like everyone else, around my regular job. It's lucky I make
one SCA event every month or so.
