Unto the good Gentles and Ladies of this fair Middle Kingdom I bear good cheer and joy in this the most blessed season of our salvation. I pray the Lords sweet continence might shine on you all.

I will again cast my quill in an attempt to report to you diligently the goings on and happenings of the most enjoyable feast of 12th night held this 12th day of January A.S.33 in the Shire of Havenholde, Barony Flaming Gryphon.

Having been so blessed to be a resident of Havenholde my war weary steed was not so taxed in delivering my person to the site of celebration. We the revelers gathered from far corners to bear wishes of success and hopes of joy in this new year. The Artisans of the realm brought with them many beauteous and breath taking items of inspiration for display and so that the people of the Barony Flaming Gryphon might choose a Baronial Artisan to serve our beloved Baron and Baroness in their court. The works of art were varied and wonderful each.
I will now account for you some of those wondrous items begging your forgiveness if I may by chance overlook some item or another. Being who the good Lord has made me to be, ofcourse the first items of notice were the delicacies of food. A wonderful selection of exotic tastes were presented from the far east where it is said rivers flow with spice. I then tried the wonderful Marzipan Strawberries, although I must confess I did feel the tinge of sin upon my lips as surely mortal men were not intended to taste of such forbidden but utterly delicious fruit. I seek the forgiveness of the kind artisan, I ate more than one. I flurry of scrolls and books were presented, all works of art of which my worn torn fingers are ill suited to hold. I must confess also to over enjoying the breads presented as well. So many items of art were displayed the head swims in a flurry of heavenly scenes. But alas, only one may be named the Champion of the field.
It is with much pride and joy I bear witness to you good people that Havenholdes own Ian Drake was chosen as Baronial Artisan for entry of an awe inspiring quarrell crafted in leather and beautified with engravings and brass tacks. I also had the pleasure of seeing this work of art come to life each week at Mistress Drea de Pelligrinni's famous and sometimes infamous "Sewing Night". I commend you Ian on your accomplishment. We wish you well and look forward to being thrilled with the many more wondrous works you are surely to produce.

Now, for those of you still with me in this ever growing scroll, I would recount for you the delights and wonders of feast and revel. First was served the Lords and Ladies cakes which contained the 12th night bean. The most illustrious Lord Daffyd Blaid who is now our baronial outlaw was chosen by chance and fate to be the King of the Bean. Our feast was a delicious ensemble of removes encompassing a cheese and mushroom quiche and sauced turnip and beets tray. Pork glazed in honey and mandarin oranges brought a joyful leap to my heart. Now with some trepidation I do share with you good people the strange events of this nights revel.
King Daffyd arose proclaiming a challenge amongst the hall. He offered a prize to the first gentle or lady who could produce one of the baronial coins. Astounded I myself stood from my seat realizing I wore one of these very same coins about my neck, a gift from our pious Baron himself as recognition of induction into the order of the Sable Shield. Having the Bean Kings attention I promptly showed to him the device. To my astonishment the Most Wise Bean King (MWBK for short) elevated me to Grand Duke of the Bean. Very pleased with myself I promptly returned to my seat to enjoy the feast. Sometime later, and I might add in my belief by some strange conspiracy, I was called forth by the M.W.B.K. I was then given a cloven dried apricot and instructed that from within the feasting hall I must choose a willing Lady to be my Duchess in Beaness. The decision was of course made easy as I turned a radiant smile smote the light of candle and chandelier. For the Lady Celia de Fleur sat smiling towards the court. She accepted and became my Duchess. Upon returning to the table I was informed by the Lady's mother that I had indeed entered into an arraigned marriage. This of course brought wringing consternation to my face as my holy vows to take up the cross in crusade would surely be in conflict with this. Alas, I was a man undone and wholly laid low. Her beauty to much for any man to overcome.
Ahh there were many more events this evening that would curl the nose hairs of your local troll, briefly stated, a lurid affair with an intoxicating gypsy serving girl, a near disastrous divorce, the most watchful salvation found in the Bean King, and never to be missed the amazing dancing Templar. Those tales and many more are left for the imagination my fair reader. Just think , and this was a DRY site.

Unto all those who worked so diligently, I thank you and applaud you. Accolades and praise unto the "kitchen crew" and those unseen laborers who strove to bring joy to our day. Many thanks unto those who taught and shared their knowledge.

A very special wink go to Rusaad, The beautious Allegra and Mistress Drea as well as Robert the soon to be Japanese Persona

I beg of you your forgiveness and patience as you have labored through this most heinous crime of reporting, may God and you have pity upon the author as he is a wretched and unworthy soul indeed.
