I'd probably live if my costuming had to be limited to a single
century/area/whatever, if it were a style that I liked to begin
with. Dancing, though, would probably die.
There's not a whole lot out there until you get a dance manual or two from
the late fifteenth century, then a few more late sixteenth century. And
that's about it if you're keeping it to pre-1600's.
I'd hate being stuck with one or the other time. I'd be shocked if we'd
find enough people to dance anyways, given the unfortunate lack of
popularity of such dances. It would be verrrry sad.
