Photographs of the Award Banners will be made available as soon as I can get up
out of bed and take pictures of them

The banners will also be on display at Festival of Maidens, Val Day, Clancy Day
and Coronation, assuming I can get permission to display them from the
autocrats. Definitely Coronation.

I would like to thank the 22 gentles who helped carry the banners, also my
household, Fionnbharr, Gytha, Grietje, all of whome helped construct the
banners, and my lady wife, who has not only put up with my traipsing around the
kingdom for the past three months, and three more to go, but worked for hours
getting the banners sewn, including being up at 5:30 Saturday morning to finish
the last three.

I owe her much, and I fear I shall not be able to repay her.

Greetings to all who walk the Middlebridge.

Let me be the first to say it was truly an honor to be among those who
processed into MK court at Tree-Girt Sea's Twelfth Night, bearing the
banners
of the Midrealm award devices. Our hard work in the past weeks did not go
unnoticed, and for that I thank everyone present, from Their Royal Majesties
down to the smallest gentle in diapers. It was a joy to hear the oohs and
aahs as we entered, to see the looks on TRMs' faces when we presented the
banners to them, and to experience the reaction of the audience as we turned
about to show them the fruits of our labors. It was an honor and a privilege
to have been among those who worked on these twenty-two banners, and also an
honor and a privilege to have been one of the presenters.

And a thank-you as well to our household head, THL Purple, for coming up
with
the idea to begin with; and also to his lady, THL Sorcha, for *her* work in
drawing up the patterns, helping the rest of us figure out what we had to
do,
and putting up with the spatially-challenged Frisian who couldn't measure 11
inches to save her life. (I got better, eventually. <g>)
