For me, it's a bit different, I have coordinated high table
entertainment. but being "the silent bard of Aethelmearc" (no, I'm not a
mime) I just sing that rarely. Most people don't even know I do sing.
At our Baronial investiture, we had an A&S display at feast (bardic
sorts) and I went first due to the fact that I was outboard. I went to
his Magesty and asked what he wanted to hear. He knew so little about me
that I woulnd up handing him my song book and we stood there for 20
minutes scrutinizing over which songs i knew best and which were
appropriate. We finally settled on one and off I was. (Belt and Chain
if you want to know)
I don't like it when the heralds announce it, I didn't intend to sing for
the whole hall. It makes me too nervous.
But after all is said and done, I will be at the Cleftlands this weekend.
If someone is interested in Bardic arts (and a beginning hammered
dulcimer student) let me know.
