Hail and hearken good gentles, Lords and Ladies.

Would you here of sharp steel and sharper clothing ? If so then do read on. I offer this most ashamed attempt at reporting only that yee may know the magnificent deeds and wondrous qualities of the Fencing warriors of the Flaming Gryphon.

This very day I did travel with my most trusted brother and friend the Champion Rusaad Muhammad to the Baronial Fencing Championships of Flaming Gryphon held at St. Joan's College. What more could be desired than dashing and strutting warriors of the Fence. With great flare and some pomp I might add we watched on as the lightning like swords and daggers flew. I was privileged immeasurably to be allowed to assist in Heralding the List, under the watchful aid of my treasured Lady Allegra, and became most familiar with each of the combatants. We as a barony and as a kingdom should be grateful indeed to have such excellent examples of martial courage and courtly manner.
Some notable occurrences in the battles which took place I shall recount for you all. Needless to say there were many a match and deed I will not.
I would first honor the valiant Lady Fencers of St. Joan. What an honor it was to call you forth and to watch you work such delicate and deadly art. We also thank and honor those visiting fencers who fought so diligently without promise of reward. I would have you take note of the deeds of our much beloved Sir Richard Grylion, who proved fighting to the death has never gone out of style. We honor also Alexander Blackstar of the Clan Blackstar for his thrilling string of five back to back matches to honor the combatants. The grand melee's were exciting and there many ooohs and ahhhs to be heard from the safety of the crowd. A word of caution future fencers, beware yee the dreaded Grylion death from behind.<wink>

The Court of their Excellencies Berach and Myfanwy, Baron and Baroness Flaming Gryphon was held shortly after fighting. I thank his excellency for the privilege he bestowed upon me by allowing me to aid in this endeavor. I am pleased to announce that L'Academie de Grif , has inducted several of the Fencers into its ranks, I would of course name them excepting that I do not remember all of them. As I said before this is a scathingly torturous attempt at a report. The Lord Marko Boromay, Fencing Champion of Middle Marches then presented his honors and laid a challenge before our "about to be announced Champion", that he would meet our newly installed Capataine at a time and place of his choosing to settle a challenge. We of course look forward to seeing the Flaming Gryphons victory.
With humility and happiness I present to you the Lord Damen Van Anderson. Our new Baronial Fencing Champion, the Capataine d' Grif. We congratulate you Oh' Capataine on your marvelous victory and the honor you have won. I had the privilege of watching Lord Damen fight all day and must extol the humility he displayed while showing immaculate skill and great courage. Again congratulations Lord Damen.

The friendship and fellowship of this event was a wonderful thing to be apart of. I did so enjoy the happy company of so many interesting and engaging people. After dinner we returned for more of the wonderful fellowship and several lively rounds of dancing. I thank the Lady Meliora Blythe for her most enlightening description of what exactly it is to Swash a Buckle. I must admit after the heady flirtations and whirling dances with the beauteous Lady Allegra Ginevra Soave da Napoli I did infact find myself lost and in need of aid on several occasions, it must be some sort of sorcery this woman indeed wields. As always my face was brightened by the angelic raiment of my most pious faux wife Celia le Fleur.

If indeed good gentles you have not attended yet a Fencing Championship, most especially this one. I would heartily encourage you to do so, the happy spirit and joyful play of this diverse crowd is something to be enjoyed indeed.

I submit this most dastardly and vile attempt at reporting to you in great contrition for the grief it is sure to bode for thee. prepare yourselves for a ridiculously long signature line.
