I had to comment on this. I used to be a waitress and there were days that
I would have gladly dumped food in your lap if you were being a rude and
impatient butthead. Yes Drew, I used the word butthead, because it's all
relative to the situation. It's days like that, when everything under the
sun goes wrong, cooks are slow or mess up the order, someone called off,
a freak rush of patrons coming in on what should have been a quiet Tuesday
night, it all adds up to a frazzled waitress! And when someone gets snarky
with you, you'd like to explode, but you don't. I got a penny tip once,
because the cooks botched the order badly. I quit after that, because after
you've done your best and someone stomps on your hard work by leaving a
penny tip it's degrading and insulting.

AS for how I drive in traffic. Hmmm, my behavior there, well it depends
on if I have a supply of coffee, donuts, and ciggies. I might be pleasant
about a two hour delay or I'll be ranting and thinking evil thoughts about
people in front of me. And if I'm five away from an exit where the traffic
hasn't moved and I have to get my happy tooshy to the nearest potty stop
after all that coffee, I get cranky too. It goes both ways! ;) Sometimes
you're the windshield and sometimes you're the bug on that windshield.

YIS,

Mad Molly Magee -Ten digests behind because the e-mail spit them all out
yesterday!

The measuring stick I like the best is, "how to they
behave in traffic", closely followed by, "how do they
behave towards waiters/waitresses"?
