The spread of the Black Plague, and how it upset the economics of
Europe and changed the value of the worker (ultimately leading, I
think, to the Magna Carta).
The creation of Islam and how it lead to the Ottoman Empire, Crusades,
and all sorts of other stuff.
This would be a fun class to do. "1,000 years in 3,000 seconds." I'd
teach it, but I'd need to do a lot of research first. This might also
be a good skit for the Coxcomb people.
(For the math-challenged, 3,000 seconds is 50 minutes. About the
length of one class).
