Be it known the March of Three Towers is hosting

The Battle of Hastings
At Malaber Farms State Park
4050 Bromfield Rd.

on October 10-13, 2003

Site: $6.00 adult ($3.00 non member surcharge may apply)
            $4.00 ages 7-15
            Free ages 6 and under
            Camping at no extra charge

Feast: $6.00

Merchant Registration Fee: $25.00 (This is out of our control but it WILL include 1 adult site fee)

                                                                            To get there from all points:

Take your best route to I-71 and OH-13 just south of Mansfield, OH. If you arrive on I-71 turn left at the stop sign at the end of the exit ramp. You are now on OH-13. If you arrive on OH-13 turn right at Hanley Rd. (Traffic Light) if you are northbound, or left if you are southbound. Follow Hanley Rd. east about 2 mi. to the 4-way stop. Turn right on Little Washington Rd. Follow Little Washington south about .5 mi. Veer left onto Pleasant Valley Rd. Follow Pleasant Valley about 6 mi. to Bromfield Rd. Turn right onto Bromfield Rd. then the first right into Malabar Farm State Park.

There will be:

Recreations (NOT re-enactments) of two crucial battles in the history of England (Stamford Bridge and Caldbec Hill or Hastings)

A three for all melee

and possibly a single combat tourney

- on the armored list presented by Lord Peter Engelke and Lord Ashford Simen-Philip LaQuox

Three person single combat tournament

A three for all melee

- on the rapier list presented by Lord Marco Borromei

Shoots galore

- on the archery list presented by Master Ian Gordon of Glen Awe and Mistress Arwenna of Kelsey

Axes, knives and spears

- on the thrown weapons list presented by Lord Quentin McGowan

Boffer scenarios and practice

- on the boffer list by the boffer marshals of Three Towers

A simple war camp feast of stew, bread an sundries

- by Lord Friedrich von Holstien der Tollhase

We are still seeking commanders for all three armies. If you are interested in acting as Harold Godwinsson(Saxon), Harald Sigurdson(Norse), or William LeRoi(Norman) contact the event steward gilesfitzalan@columbus.rr.com. You get command of an army, a nifty tabard to wear, and free admission to the event.
