I think I received my Pale. I've been so busy that I haven't even had time to retrieve the mail from the box.

Regarding the snow-related thread, I like snow and think it can be beautiful. Hmmm...another chance to make snow angels in the front yard... Of course, "all" my mostly elderly neighbors will likely think I'm insane but what of that?! (shrug). It's fun. (The only problem is getting up and down from the ground.)

I've been mostly busy caring for and assisting my grandmother lately. She was hospitalized recently and is 95 years old.

If I'm not doing that then I'm collecting donations, or at least very reasonably priced since I must personally pay for, durable medical equipment for a nonprofit group who helps people obtain such equipment. Typically, the people the group attempts to assist either don't have insurance, insurance doesn't cover the expense, and/or are low to moderate income. At this time, the group is particularly interested in power chairs (aka: power/electric wheelchairs), electric scooters, and specialized walkers. Manual wheelchairs are also accepted for the Wheels For the World project. The equipment is received then refurbished before being made available. They already have enough raised toilet seats and crutches. Other types of durable medical equipment might also be of interest. The group's name is WheelchairHelp.org . The founder instructed me that all donations or equipment I purchase ultimately for them be delivered to them personally by myself; Therefore, please contact me to arrange pick up/delivery for donation to the group. I hope this makes sense.

Therefore, if anyone has or knows of someone who would like to preferably donate equipment to such a cause please contact me off-line to discuss it and make arrangements for either getting it to me or me coming to you to pick it up. The organization is not paying anything for my travel expenses or any costs of acquiring the equipment; Since I'm personally paying those costs, I apologize but can't afford to pay much for it. However, rest assured that any equipment donated/bought will be going to a worthy cause. From what I've seen of the organization thus far I like it.

Oh, yes, of course I'm also still seeking paid employment and volunteering for a local hospital writing a grant proposal for them plus cuddling my 5 cats when there's a moment to breathe. :) Plus, I'm making adult size bibs! After making enough for Grams, I might even make some for sale; Feel free to contact me personally if you know anyone interested in obtaining some. :)
