Your Grace should know that I spent about 10 minutes before BOTH the
segments desparately trying to teach Ms. McShea HOW to pronounce
'anachronism', to the point of attempting a phonetic spelling thus:
an-AKRON-ism.
Yes, indeed. And she had our flyer, a fact sheet telling her about the demo,
plus she talked to me about what we were doing at Stan Hywet...
I'm pleased to say that despite the mispronunciations, 'brisk' weather on
Saturday, and some finagaling of the archery/thrown weapons range, things
went very well.
Once again, I'm indebted to my volunteers from the forming Barony of
Brendoken, representing the marches of Thistle, Alderford and Gwyntarian, as
well as our friends from Cleftlands and Tirnywdd. Everyone lent a hand,
sparkled at their favorite activities, and on the strength of their great
work, we were invited back to Ohio Mart next year.
I thank all my volunteers. Without all of your help, this demo wouldn't be
going into its 12th year.
Warmest regards and thanks,
Katarina Peregrine
Ohio Mart demo coordinator
