But for the true pumpkin/squash pie question -- do you use molasses in your

substitute butternut squash. I'm quite fond of pumpkin, but the squash seem
a bit hardier in my garden and the vines more resistant to borer insects,
and after making pies with it, I don't think I'll ever switch back.
