Right, but if an airline says they are looking for
aviators one would naturally assume they were looking
for people who fly planes. In fact, their wording
would imply that they were looking for men who fly
planes because a woman who flies a plane is an
aviatrix.
In the real world, however, the word aviatrix has
pretty much become Amelia Earhart's title rather than
her job description.
