Greetings to All who Read these Words!
Because life at home suddenly became interesting this past week we have
had to delay this and we hope you'll forgive us.
Recently at the Masque of Courtly Love Genovefa and I were Head and
Deputy Cooks respectively. We'd like to take this opportunity to thank
all those who helped make the meal that we prepared possible.
Speical thanks go to the following folks: Lord Varden for his pre-event dish
washing, Katarina Peregrine and Debforgail for slicing and pealing mushrooms
and turnips. Elizabetta de Firenze called Fahe for her wonderful pears and
generous help the day of the event. Ceit from Alderford who kept showing up
to help whenever she was needed. Amelia from Alderford who did everything
she was asked kept looking for more to do and then became our head server.
Baroness Gwyneth Banfhidhleir, OL who helped with everything from wafers to
garnish and provided a calming influence when it was needed. Lady Maria from
Alderford and Lord Sartaq who ran errands and then came back to clean.
Wulfwen atte Belle especially for the marvelous garnishes which if you didn't
see them you missed a treat.
Special thanks to the servers who were on top of things, you are a
marvelous group of people and it was a pleasure to work with you.
Thank you also to those who came and enjoyed our feast. It was a
pleasure to cook for you.
To our clean up crew Einar, Morgan, Ofria, Ekatrina and Quenton, Maria,
Gregor, Sartaq, Varden, Hugh, Katryn and Rob, Justin and Milica and anyone
else who's name I've missed thank you so very much.
And as always to our families Gregor, McKenzie, Sonya, Connie, Amelia
and Hugh for being good sports and trying out dishes and their variations
for weeks.
