Actually my favorite donut is unglazed yeast donut rolled in *granulated* suger.
These must be a local German thing. Because when I tried to find some in South Carolina for my Grandmother They just gave me blank looks. I finally found a Mom and Pop place that made them special for me. The next year when I went back to get some they told me that they were big sellers for them (tourists you know)
