[Mid] So, You want to be a Scribe...Class at Thatsa Mare

Good Day!
I am holding a class at Thatsa Mare, June 23-26. In the Shire of Mare
Amethystinum
Come on up and join us forwhat promises to a wonderful event at a Beautiful
site.
the site is nestled between 2 lakes. There is a beaver lodge, and while I
was out there I saw a
Blue Heron, the beaver(to which my daughter promptly said...do beavers
bite?....no.) and I saw a family of ducks. So bring your cameras! There is a
Sauna on site and it will be open for people to use....but back to the
class....lol. I will be having an informal class you can find the info
below. I also like to sit and chat so feel free to come by and play with
Calligraphy and Illumination stuff. Calligraphy is my passion. On to the
class description:

So, you want to be a Scribe...Otherwise known as what is a Scribe and what
do they do?

Some frequent things that I hear.
.....How do I become a scribe?
.....I don't draw, but I can do calligraphy.
.....I want to help make someone's day by being part of the process.
.....I cannot do calligraphy.
.....I know how to draw fairly well.
.....I know how to apply paints, but I don't draw.

What do all of those things have in common? All of those people can
help each other to make beautiful scrolls and awards. Who says that an award
given out has to be on a piece of paper? Do you like working with wood?,
Fabric?, Stone?, etc. Let your imagination run wild.

Amethystinum. I will be holding a class on how to become a scribe and I will
also be teaching Calligraphy (Gothic and Carolingian Minuscule) My son will
be joining us and he really likes Gothic Littera Bastarda he taught himself
and wants to teach others. I am learning how to do Illumination so if anyone
wants to chat about that part of the process....feel free to join us.

What do you bring?
Anything you want. But it is not necessary.
