Goodly Samira,

Many thanks to thee for thy kind words of gentle correction to thy neighbor, whose information had been woefully inaccurate at best. It is fair music in mine ears to hear the praises of the Cumberland Centre from beyond the borders of Meridies, particularly when they well and succinctly capture the gist of that which is the fruit of countless hours of an all-volunteer effort. Since its founding some five years ago by no less than three Barons (two former territorials and one then seated territorial), peers of Chivalry and Laurel, and several other honorable folk of lesser estate, the Centre has bent our many and sundrye efforts to make a fair and welcoming home for the events of our beloved Society.

Shouldst thou have other friends that have been likewise misled, they are all and sundrye invited to view the articles set forth at http://www.cumberlandcentre.org. Thereat one may slake the thirst for truthful knowledge about the Centre's facilities and learn of the noble efforts of our hard working band of hardy volunteers.

Though thou hast been a guest at the Cumberland Centre, kindly Samira, I fear that I have not had the honor of making your noble acquaitance. Greatly would I be honored if thou wouldst allow me to do so at yon forthcoming Border Raids, thus to amend and enlarge my heretofore lacking circle of friends. Thou may inquire after me of any of those given authority over said gathering and I shall attend thee forthwith.

Until that gladsome day comes to pass shall I remain your humble servant, in the Society and through the Centre,

Baron Jean-Claude von Adlerstaat, KSCA, CVO, CSM, etc. (Meridies)
m.k.a. Douglas E. Grove, President, The Cumberland Centre for Medieval and Renaissance Studies, Inc.
