RE: [Mid] OT: This time, it's for real: Save NPR and PBS

Disney owns the Jim Henson Company. That's why, for example, Muppet
Treasure Island was a Disney film. You know, Kermit. Piggy. Fozzy.

And Kermit's on Sesame Street. The character, along with other Sesame
Street Characters like Big Bird, are licensed by the Jim Henson Company to
the Sesame Workshop (formerly the Children's Television Workshop) a
non-profit, which produces a ton of other shows, like Dragon Tales and
SPONK! Those shows are sold to PBS by the Sesame Workshop.

Jim Henson is, to this day, credited as a muppeteer on the show.
