For the record, public opinion polls show that the majority of
Americans see public radio and television news as the most unbiased,
and most reliable sources of news on television.

The person the administration appointed to head up the CPB had some
studies done to confirm that, and to date has absolutely refused to
release the findings of said studies to the public.

Basically, it's my opinion that this administration is trying to take
over the last bastion of public information that doesn't have a
corporate bias. It serves the public interest on public airwaves with
public money. It is not liberal biased, it is not conservative biased.
It's people-biased.

The administration doesn't like to be questioned. You can see proof of
that everywhere you look, from a press corp that has been beaten into
submission to entire networks devoted to propagandizing policy. Even
the supposed "liberal" media has been cowed into submission.

Public broadcasting *must* survive. Those airwaves belong to *us*, as
in the people.

And my final point before I crawl back in my little hole -

Put down the trash can and step away from the muppet, you greedy
free-marketeering bastages! Yeah, you! The one with the stuffed frog
being tossed in the box that says "Ship to Gitmo". And you! Yeah,
over there holding that big yellow bird at gunpoint - back it off nice
and slow.

Ok, you, the one kicking the purple dinasaur in the teeth - you can
stay. But the rest of ya - I better not see you on this street again.
Sunny days and all that...
