Ya know, as someone who often struggles to afford to go to ****ONE**** event
a year--and that's local one--I can't afford cable. I can barely afford
extras like calling my parents TWICE a year. I happen to like NOVA and the
other educational stuff on PBS. I can't get those programs otherwise. I
have far less problem supporting PBS and NPR with my tax dollars than I do
many of the other programs the government funds. PBS is among the tiny bit
of TV I watch as it is. I would really rather have the choice of quality
rather than being left with the only the choices on the networks.
