[Mid] Announcement- new SCA/Middle History list group

Fellow SCAdians,

A couple of weeks ago, I mentioned that I was working on something
related to history of the Middle Kingdom and the SCA in general. Now I
can tell you the result! I have created a new Yahoogroup for SCA
members- particularly those from the Middle Kingdom, although it is open
to anyone in the SCA.

The aim of this list is to gather recollections and remembrances of SCA
members and discuss SCA history and past events. The reason why I
established this list is to make an attempt to fill a need for
preserving these memories before they are lost. The SCA is a unique
culture among recreation/reenactor groups, and as such has a social
history that is worth preserving. As older members die off, it is
important that we have their thoughts reflections and inputs. We are
entering our 5th decade, we have 2 full generations of growth behind us,
and it appears that we are going strong into the future.

Please note- this group is specifically focused on history as a topic.
If you join, the list the posting rules will be kept strictly so that
space isn't lost to off topic posts or conversations. Please see the
