It's called keep them stupid and poor so that we'll have willing troops for pointless and uncessary wars. No education and no public broadcasting to make you think critically and ask questions, nor will you be able to find a decent job to survive on, nor be able to afford to take yourself to the doctor when you get sick, so that you'll willingly go into the military just so your family can eat and afford government provided healthcare.
