[Mid] Modern political discussions...

...are all fine and good and I support them *in the proper forum*. This,
however, is not the proper forum. I allow (much to the chagrin of many
subscribers and ex-subscribers) a *great deal* of leeway in the flow and
content of the discussions that take place here. I believe that this
topic has now gone far beyond the bounds and intentions of this list for
too long and I would very much like it if it were taken off-line now.
