Jubilee was fun this year! I really have a good time there. I worked the SCA Information booth for the second year in a row and got to talk the ears off folks who are interested in coming out and giving this hobby a try. And I've already heard from a family that lives in Bloomington/Normal for directions to our next meeting and fighter practices. Yay!

I also worked in the "Rent-a-Garb" photo booth dressing up folks in fun clothes to get their pictures taken in the "thrones". It's always fun and we had some GREAT photos this year that we took second pictures of for the photo booth display. Plus, who can't smile when tiny little girls in their Disney Princess costumes come in and want their photo taken in the "real princess chairs". *dies from the cute*

Jubilee was its usual good time had by all. The weather was chilly
Friday night, sublime on Saturday, and a warmer version of sublime on
Sunday. The Lord of the Rings movie may have been responsible for the
widespread outbreak among mundane folk, but any Faire always attracts masses
of folks who have a different way than we of interpreting the Middle Ages.
If it only happens once or twice a year, it can be a source of amusement for

me. Himself and I were able to collect a goodly chunk of our beloved
household in one spot for collective camping and visiting, which does our
hearts so much good. And we saw dear friends from near and far.
The porta potties made the ones at Pennsic seem like a luxury resort, but
it was only for a coupla days, and I think the honey wagons at Pennsic spoil
us, don't they?
Himsel and I got to play king and queen for the demo on Sunday morning,
which, wearing a borrowed coronet, was a big treat for me.
We had a great weekend.
