I have a few questions that might stir up something of a storm, but I'm
rather tired of not being sure of what the rules are any more, or whether I
should be upset or offended. So I thought I should ask a broad selection of
folks about my issue, and this is the largest sample I could think of.
My questions are:
1. When one SCA group operates within the territory of another, is it still
the custom to ask permission first?
2. Is it wrong for an SCA group to actively recruit within another group's
territory? Use tales of an established group's "imminant demise" as a ruse
to divert people from that group into another?
3. Is there *any* official recourse to be had when a territorial branch of
the SCA finds its territorial integrity repeatedly abused over a period of
years?
4. Is there any response to such abuse that fits within the bounds of
courtesy besides gritting your teeth and saying "That's okay, we'd have said
"yes" anyway"?
I eagerly await the answers and advice of the 'bridge
