Sorry to post if off-topic, but I thought that if anyone would know it would be this group.
Has anyone on this list ever travelled long distance or any distance by Amtrak train? I am looking into cheaper travel options for going to Minnesota in a few weeks. Flight is possible but when flights (out of Indianapolis to Minnesota) are running $310.00 and Amtrak tickets are $140.00 (both roundtrip) the cheaper looks easier on my wallet.I have never travelled by train before and admit to being a bit apprehensive. I'm sure the experience would be a good one, but I'm not much for treading into unknown waters alone.
