My wife and I travelled by Amtrak to the West Coast a few years ago.
She was copacetic except the observation car ran movies; I was
roaming the aisles almost immediately, and te trip was three days.
But now she takes a bus (cheaper, and she loves yet; yeah, shes
weird). I'm gonna fly or take a car (I could stop wherever I wanted,
a bit plus for me; last year, during a West Coast trip, we were
driving thru mountains, and it took a few observation stops to figure
out that I was not going to yell at her like a bus driver if she
asked to stop).
Depends on your approach to being confined for long periods of time
under someone else;s discretion, I think.
And I never want to see "Michael" again. I think I saw the film about
five times during the trip in the observation car!
Cheers, Folo
