The castle that was used for Gibson's Hamlet has, if
I remeber correctly, a 'tapestry curtain.' That is,
there is a scene where they go to a chamber someone is
in to wake him up or soemthing, and they move a
tapestry (and a very large one indeed) that is hanging
from a pivotal bar, from in front of the window to the
wall. One my trip in Europe I know there was at least
one French castle that I saw an iron over a window and
had it explained to me by the guide that's what it
was.
As far as actual curtains though... no help there.
