Hi All,

Please have a look at the below post and then perhaps go to this Facebook
site to see if there might be something that will interest you to bid on.
Nicole is a good friend of mine (if you are in the SCA she is now known as
Sigrid and previously as Enika) and her son Keven is really getting a raw
deal right now. The items in this auction are amazing from extremely
talented artists.

I apologize for those who are on these lists that may be friends of
Nikki’s that see this more than once. Feel free to send this to anyone
you think might be interested in this. By the way Nikki has not asked me
to post this, I am doing this because she is an awesome friend and I know
she would do anything for her friends and I want to reciprocate and help
her and her family in any way I can.

"A Father's Story"

My son Keven is an Army Veteran, having served two tours in Iraq. He was
promoted to Sergeant and received numerous commendations, love and respect
among his men ... as well as injuries he received due to a roadside bombing
on his last tour. He is currently battling for his parental rights as the
father to his children due to the custodial interference of his in-laws in
take his children from him. Keven file charges of custodial interference
against the in-laws, and two days later, the in-laws filed for temporary
custody. The courts awarded the in-laws the kids over the holidays, and
Keven now has to fight for custody of his own children.

Keven never gave up legal custody of his children nor abandoned them. His
in-laws have money, and have hired a team of attorneys. Keven has a court
appointed public defender, but with my help and the help of my friends and
their resources, he is trying to fight as best as he can with the funds I
make from my small lampworking business. Sadly, money "talks"... even in
the judicial system, and we are hoping for a miracle with what he have to
offer and work with. Due to not being able to find work in Arizona and
having no home to live in., Keven is now living with my husband and I in
Wisconsin.

The proceeds of this fundraiser will help with travel expenses to and from
Arizona for his court hearings, and living expenses during his stay in
Arizona for the hearings, (which tends to be 3-7 days depending on if there
are more than one hearing scheduled), and to have enough funds when the
time comes, to bring his children back home with him, as a family, to
Wisconsin. Sadly, the ones who are suffering the most are the kids from
what they are being put through by the in-laws and the court system.
