This is the -perfect- time for me to mention this! Thank you so much for
asking where you can get good clip art....

While not open source, Dover offers a wide range of clip art and cd-rom
combination products. Book and cd-rom. They offer multiple formats (jpeg,
tiff, etc.)

Inside these publications, Dover gives usage guidelines for PRINT
applications only, and for electronic use, you are supposed to contact them.

So I did. :-) And was pleasantly thrilled at the response.

According to Dover, YOU MAY USE CLIP ART FROM THEIR BOOK AND CD-ROM
COLLECTIONS IN YOUR ONLINE NEWSLETTERS AND ON YOUR WEBPAGES!!!!!!

I've asked the Kingdom Webminister to put the permissions document on my
webpage, but in the meantime, I'll gladly send a copy of the pdf to anyone
who asks.

This is major! I'm very excited. I used the Dover cd-rom clip art
collections when I was editing Artes Draconis and my local newsletter. I am
delighted to be able to use these graphics in electronic applications and
I'm even more geeked that I can share it with all of you!

Corporate is thrilled about this too, we have permission to share this
information with any and all SCA folk.

While not exactly what Bridghid asked for, it definitely is associated. :-)
