There are a few things we want to notice. The photo was taken so the bottom edge could be seen. The weft used was an off white and can be seen looping along the edge. A weft of the same color as the selvage can be used to hide this. The dot between the diamonds is the weft on top of the weave. You can tell where this will happen by looking at the weaving diagram. The bottom and top rows will meet as the design is repeated.
