November 2005 Greetings unto the Noble People of the Midrealm from your Minister of Youth, Let me bring your attention to our wonderful Page School program. With the help of two very enthusiastic ladies, Baroness Adelicia Marie d'Argent and Lady Katerina Mahler, we will be bringing the Midrealm Page School to the forefront of youth activities. Over the next few months the Kingdom MOY officers will be dedicating ourselves to becoming acquainted with how we collect and process our Page School information. We ask for your patience as we work through this process and make plans for the future. There are many ways the populace can assist us in this process. First you help your youth gather any information they have concerning their past Page School credits. Encourage your youth to participate in qualifying activities, Teach them the responsibility of keeping track of their activities, credits, and standing within Page School. And most importantly support them in their endeavors. Even if you do not have a child of your own you can still serve our youth by volunteering to educate and guide them. Mentoring our youth can be rewarding for both student and teacher. For more information please contact Baroness Adelicia Marie d'Argent, Dean of Page School for program information and Lady Katerina Mahler, Page School Registrar for participant credit standing, updates, and initial enrollment. You can find their contact information in the Pale and on the MOY web site at http://www.midrealm.org/mkyouth/. I would like to welcome Melisende Leonhardt as our new Oaken Regional MOY. She is very excited about her new position and I am certain that she will do a wonderful job. We are still looking for a Regional MOY for the Midlands region. If you would like to be considered for this position, please send in your resume and/or letter of interest. My contact information is listed in the Pale. On that note, I am concerned with the lack of local MOY officers within each region. Though the MOY office is not required for local groups I am certain there are youth in these areas that need the support of a local office. If you or someone in your local groups is always running the youth activities for your events then you may want to consider becoming your local MOY officer. If you would like more information about creating a MOY office please contact me and I will help you get started. As the youth grow in our Kingdom our programs are constantly evolving. We are always looking for input from the populace. Questions concerning Page School and other youth activities can be directed to the MOY office. In your service I remain, Duchesse Sabine de Rouen |
