MK MoY Letters to the PALE

May 2006

Greetings unto the Noble People of the Midrealm from your Kingdom Minister of Youth,

We will again be holding the Youth Craftsmen’s Faire and Prize Tourney in conjunction with the Midrealm Kingdom Arts and Sciences Faire. We would like to encourage all youth to enter an A&S project and share your skills. For those participating in both the Youth Craftsmen’s Faire and Prize Tourney and the Youth Combat Tournament, you will receive a token for each of your A&S entries. These tokens can be used to receive resurrections during the tourney. For more information on the Youth Craftsmen’s Faire and Prize Tourney please contact me or visit http://www.midrealm.org/mkyouth/crftfaire.htm. For more information about the Youth Combat Tournament please contact Master Sean o’Shaughnessy at .

If you would like to serve as a Page during the Midrealm Kingdom Arts and Sciences Faire please visit me at the Youth Craftsmen’s Faire and Prize Tourney and Trade of Goods. Pages will be needed as runners for the A&S Faire judges. Page School students can receive credit hours for working as runners.

At the upcoming Kingdom A&S Faire there will be a Trade of Goods to benefit Youth Activities. Please bring any of the items from our supply list and we will give you baked goods in trade. These baked goods will be provided by the many wonderful Midrealm bakers including some of our gracious Ladies of the Rose. Items will be available for purchase as well; however, donations of supplies would better serve our office. Please see a list of suggested supplies following my letter.

Pennsic is just around the corner. The Midrealm will be supporting a day of activities at Youth Pointe and a Midrealm Teen Night Party as well as supporting the Children's Fete, Youth Martial activities, and possibly a "friendship" gathering for teens from all the Kingdoms. We need your help to make each of these events a success. Please volunteer to chaperon, teach, assist, and donate prizes, supplies, and food & drinks for these activities.

Finally, I would like to thank Mistress Rosamund Beauvisage for donating many assorted supplies, Lord Alfred of St. Joan for donating drawing paper, Darius Lowen for donating more yarn that you can shake a knitting needle at, Anthoinette Martel for the wonderful baldrics she made for our Page School students, and Lord Aonghus mac Iomhair for sending me a copy of the 2005 Collaborative Summer Library Reading Program Manual – “Dragons, Dreams, and Daring Deeds”. Contributions like these may seem small to some but they are immense in the eyes of those that lead youth activities. If you would like to support our youth please donate supplies, your skills, or your time. Every little bit makes a huge difference.

For more information about Youth Activities please contact me at .
