MK MoY Letters to the PALE

July 2006

Greetings unto the Noble People of the Midrealm from your Kingdom Minister of Youth,

Pennsic is next month. We need teachers for Youth Pointe, chaperons for Midrealm Teen Night, Children’s Fete activity booths and people to run them, prizes for the Children’s Fete and for Youth Martial Activities. Please contact me by August 1st if you would like to volunteer or donate items for any of these activities.

We have a new Pentamere Regional MOY Deputy. Please welcome Shaylee Tova. Shaylee will be taking over for THL Sunnifa Gunnardsottir. I am certain she will do a wonderful job. To THL Sunnifa, thank you very much for your service. May you reap the benefits of your hard work as you watch the children you have guided grow into successful adults.

Congratulations to Marek Sigmundson, Rebecca of Thistle, and Elizabeth of Thistle. These fine young people were all elevated to the Senior level in the Midrealm Page School at Baron Wars. As Senior Pages they each have a lot of work ahead of them. Please congratulate and encourage them as they strive to reach their goals.

Thank You to everyone who donated baked goods for our first (but not last) Trade of Goods and to the many people that brought us supplies and money in trade. Thank you also to these many wonderful people that donated supplies and accepted nothing in return. It was a huge success! Over the next week I will be sorting through the supplies and dividing them between the four regions and Page School. Soon I will be making plans to visit each region to deliver the supplies.

We had a total of ten participants share their wonderful works at the Youth Craftsman’s Faire and Prize Tourney. These young people produced a total of eighteen entries. We will be holding another Faire this fall in conjunction with the Middle Kingdom Craftsperson’s Faire and Crown Tourney.

Thank you to the Midrealm Kingdom A&S Staff and Judges for allowing our Page for a Day participants to act as runners for the A&S Faire. A special thank you to those of you that took the time to explain to the Pages what you were doing and how the faire was run.

Pages – if you participated in the Youth Craftsman’s Faire and Prize Tourney and/or Page for a Day I will forward your credit hours to Page School for you.

Thank you to Lady Rhonwen verch Tuder for the many baldrics she has made for our Page School students, Lady Marisa Ashgrove for the bags of assorted youth supplies, Doña Elvira Pedrosa for the very large box of card stock, and Their Excellencies Nicholas and Soffya and the people of the Barony of the Flaming Gryphon who have patiently played guinea pig while I fine tune my ideas for youth programs at our local events.

Finally, we are looking for works of art by our Kingdom’s youth to grace the cover of the Pale. Please contact Lady Rhonwen verch Tuder at for more information on the submissions process. Thank you to Mistress Heirusalem Crystoma and Lady Rhonwen verch Tuder for supporting our youth.

We are always looking for ways to improve and expand our youth activities. Please contact me with your ideas and suggestion.

In your service I remain,
Duchesse Sabine de Rouen

Don’t forget to turn in your submissions for the new Page School Badge!
