April 2008 Greetings to those who hold our youth dear: Background checks are underway and my humble thanks to Duchesse Sabine and Baroness Maddelana for their incredible effort to make this happen. If you wish to have a background check for upcoming youth activities at your next event, please for directions on how to do so. A quick reminder: there will be a Youth Craftspersons Faire at Spring Crown Tourney in Kentucky. If you are attending, encourage your child to participate! Spring in our part of the known world brings the spring wild flowers. Get yourself and your child acquainted with some found in your area. A very common one is the sweet violet that is used in many medieval pomander and food recipes. They are lovely sugared and grind up nicely to color and flavor sugar paste.
