9:30 AM -                          Introduction to Wresling

An introduction to wrestling. Class is hands on and is open to both youth and adults. Located close to the youth area.

10:00 AM -                          SCA Event Planning
                                             Gunnar Sigurdson

Come learn about the basics of SCA event planning. We'll look at budgets, staff requirements and management styles using examples from local, kingdom and known world events. Forms and spreadsheets provided if you bring a USB
flash drive.

11:00 AM -                           Bronzino Style Sleeves
                                           Donna Heodez Sofonisba de Talento Minotto

This class takes you through the process of making those artfully rumpled upper sleeves seen in early sixteenth century portraits. A handout and opportunity to practice the technique are included. Donations to cover costs are encouraged, but not a requirement.

1:00 PM-                                 Bidding the Bedes: An Introduction to Paternosters
                                               THL Elizabeth Alles

In the 13th -16th centuries in western Europe,prayer beads were an ubiquitous accessory. This class discusses the history and development of the paternoster, as well as providing information on making your own replica. Students will leave class with a finished paternoster. No specific age requirement - youth must be able to use
scissors, needle, and thread without supervision. 12 kits available, but auditors are welcome. Handouts available.

             

3:00 PM -                                 Beer Round Table for Women*
                                               Lady Acelin of the Wilds

Wondering what all the fuss is with beer?  Don’t care for beer, or want to find a type of beer that suits you?  Are you tired of being ridiculed for your “girly” drinks?  Come join a round table discussion on beer categories and types.  Taste a few period and modern brews and find something you LIKE to drink. Men are welcome, but this will be geared towards the fairer sex.  21+ ONLY. Valid state ID must be presented regardless of age.
*This class will be held INSIDE the Feast Hall*
