In the S.C.A. almost every type of art or craft from our era of study has been attempted and there are people that are willing to demonstrate the results or methods. This particle piece was a study piece for a larger work. It was carved from a limestone known as "Texas Cream." The tools used, a wooden mallet and chisels, were identical in type to those available to masons of the period.
